Guides will direct you through a crawl space, direct your attention to cave formations and cave critters, and walk with you in an underground river. Ages 6 and up. This is a strenuous trek; include hiking down 531 stairs, a river crossing jumping from rock to rock, and climbing boulders along the side of the river to Bridal Veil Falls where you can swim. Tugaloo TriathlonSaturday, September 8, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.Tugaloo State Park – LavoniaParticipants will swim 1.5 kilometers, bicycle 42 kilometers and run 10 kilometers in this Olympic-style event that is exciting for spectators as well as participants. Traveler’s Rest Pioneer DaysSaturday, September 15, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.Travelers Rest Historic Site – ToccoaTalents and skills of the early 1800s pioneers are brought back to life. There will also be an ACTHA Competition Trail Challenge at Watson Mill Bridge State Park on September 22, 2012. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of Georgia State Parks, Watson Mill Chapter.
