These little twisty rolls are super easy to make and pack such a nice, unexpected flavor combination with the four starring seeds- fennel, caraway, poppy, and sesame. Of course, I use my bread machine to work the dough and employ my Littles to roll & twist. ;o) Peace, B.

You'll need the following ingredients to make 10 twists:
3/4 cup water
2 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon yeast
1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 teaspoons sesame seeds
1/4 cup melted butter

Add first five ingredients to the pan of your bread machine. Liquids first, followed by everything else. Make a well for the yeast in the flour and cover with the dry ingredients.

Select the dough cycle and let the machine do its work!

Spray a bowl with cooking spray.

Place dough in the bowl, turning to coat all sides with oil.

Cover and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

Deflate dough with your fist. Don't go all Fight Club on it. Just a little push will do it.

Picture
Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray.

Picture
Divide the dough into 20 equal pieces.

Picture
Find two of the cutest Littles you know to help you roll each piece of dough into 10 inch long ropes. (Even if those Little refuse to turn around to take pics for their mama who is bribing them with cookies.) We make the twists one at a time, so we only roll two ropes out and then, make the twist.

Picture
To make the twists, take two ropes and pinch the ends together.

Twist ropes together starting at that pinched end.

Pinch the end together to seal and place on the cookie sheet.

And repeat until you have ten faboo twists on that cookie sheet. Note the tape measure on the counter. My Littles are precise when they roll out dough! (Those faboo little white things there in the clear plastic container are my favorite Greek cookie, kourabiethes. I am determined to learn how to make these and not spend a buck each on them at the Greek Fest each year!)

Picture
Take your melted butter and brush on each twist. My little-Little is sticking her tongue out in concentration. I do the exact same thing!

Picture
Now, take all those faboo seeds and sprinkle them over the twists.

Picture
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. I let the twists rest on top of the warming oven for about 30 minutes. They will almost double in size.

Picture
Bake for about 12 minutes or until twists are golden brown.

Picture
We can't resist eating one or two of these right out of the oven, but try to cool completely on a wire rack and serve at room temp.
