
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease & flour a bundt pan. (Gosh, I can't even write that word without the scene from My Big Fat Greek Wedding popping into my head!)
Mix together in a large bowl the following ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup self rising flour
3 cups sugar
a dash of salt
5 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Bake covered with foil for one hour. Remove foil and bake until top is golden brown and you can run a wooden skewer through the cake and it comes out clean. (About 20 minutes, but check on it lots because you know ovens are tricky beasts!)
I serve this sliced with fresh sliced strawberries. Yummy, yummy delicious.
